We shamed them… and it WORKED - The worst road in Stoke-on-Trent is finally being repaired

One of the worst pothole-hit roads in Stoke-on-Trent is finally being repaired this week, just days after fed-up residents raised complaints with StokeonTrentLive, escalating concerns all the way to the city council’s chief executive. The Wood in Meir, originally designed to serve only a handful of properties, is now under heavy strain as it provides access to a primary school, a construction site, and hundreds of new-build homes, raising serious questions about whether the road was ever fit for purpose; with the council’s highways team scheduled to carry out repairs between 9am and 3:30pm on Thursday 23 April, is this just a quick fix, or the start of a much bigger, ongoing pothole problem across Stoke-on-Trent?
